Hello new friends. I just bought a new DVDR for my computer and when it arrived in the mail I realized that the burner is a sata hook up. My computer is IDE. Now I ordered a SATA to IDE converter and it came in the mail. I hooked it up but the burner still don't work. Package include:

1x IDE to SATA / SATA to IDE Converter
1x SATA Cable
1x Power Cable

Am I still missing a wire or something. This is really driving me nuts. Usually I can figure things like this out myself. GRRRRRRR!!!!!
Can someone PLEASE HELP ME?????

Those type of converters don't always work, especially those at the cheaper end. Thay have never had great success, indeed there are those who believe them to be a toatal waste of money. See if you can exchange the burner for an IDE one, they do still exist.
