As I am up taking a break from studying by spending a little time on the boards here tonight, a thought popped into my head, dangerous thing...I know..., about what some of you do to stay awake while "burning the midnight oil."

For me, my usual poison is coffee in the winter and iced coffee or Mtn. Dew in the summer; although, I have been known to go through a pot of coffee even though it is 80 degrees F with 80 % humidity at night right now.

So what is your method of madness?

somehow i knew that was your response when i saw you posted

interest in what i'm doing usually keeps me up. if i'm up because i have to be, and i'm not at all interested in what i'm doing, nothing will help me stay up. but if it's something that i'm interested in (either because i like the activity, or because i've got a vested interest in the outcome) then i can stay up without anything (and usually not feel terribly tired during the ordeal).

I don't know sleep during the day? When I worked 3rd shift (10pm-6:30am) I slept from 12pm to 7pm Then drank a pot of coffee to wake up and then couple of jugs of coffee during the shift to stay awake. I hated those hours. Now 2am then I am done unless I am grinding on a game and just haven't stopped playing till noon the next day or 3

lol @ sarahw

@ dsenette: Yes, I agree. It is definitely much easier to stay awake when you are doing something you enjoy. Maybe I am just addicted to caffeine. :)
