Hi, I helped a friend to remove Norton from her PC (Windows XP). I removed Norton Backup (which took ages!) then removed Norton Anti-Virus (which also took ages). After Norton Anti Virus had finished uninstalling I went back to Add/Remove programs to remove LiveReg and Symantic Live update only to find that the Add/Remove program was completely blank, i.e. not listing any programs at all.

I definitely didn't do anything unusual, just used Add/Remove to remove the two programs mentioned above. How do I fix this? My friend isn't concerned but I don't feel good about messing up her computer.

Help please.

Try this:
  • Click Start, click Run, type CMD and press [Enter].
  • At the prompt, type REGSVR32 APPWIZ.CPL and press [Enter].
  • Close the CMD window and then reboot.
