unable to access Bios on win XP

whilst trying to remove virus from PC with a member of staff from Geekstogo the pc froze and unable to restart just getting a blank screen , now been given a boot cd from the malware helper but unable to acces bios becuse its asking for a password , any help greatly appreciated .
