It's a d-link dir-615 wireless router

Also, when I try to access it it shows

Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:

[code=GATEWAY_TIMEOUT] A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request.
Please contact the administrator.

press start, then run, then type "cmd" (without the quotes) and press enter. then type "ipconfig /all" (again no quotes, and note the space between ipconfig and /all) and press enter. report back what's displayed

right click on "my network places" and choose properties, then right click on "Local Area Connection" and choose properties, do you see IPv6 somewhere in the list? if so, highlight it and press uninstall

Nope. I still get the message even after I've done this.

in the network properties do you see a 1394 connection? right click on that and disable it

have you ever been able to connect to the router's config page? you're connected directly to the router via ethernet correct?

Unfortunately, I can't connect even after disabling the 1394 connection. I am connected to the router through broadband/ethernet. I was able to get to the router page before I reformatted my computer, but now I cant.

Everything is default on the router. I've reset it multiple times and still haven't been able to get on the page. I do have wireless set up, but I connect through a wire. The only way I can connect is through the other computer and even on my ipod touch. However, it is so much more convienent to connect through this computer.

Maybe this will work, maybe not, but it couldn't hurt. Whenever I get stuck on a networking problem I can't figure out I use "netsh winsock reset" in the command prompt. Good luck!
