Smitfraud - unable to view hidden files

My pc has been infected with Smitfraud. All of the solutions I have seen posted on the net include clicking tool-view-view hidden files. The problem is I have no start menu so I can't get to this tab. The only thing I have is windows task manager but I am unable to access this tab even through My computer. Please help!!
