My task is to create a folder on a web server. I am experienced with web development but have always used GoDaddy as my hosting client.

The only information I have on the host server is the IP address, username, and password. How do I actually get to the server?

When I type the IP address into the URL bar it just takes me to the actual website. I want to get to the place where all of that website's files are stored. How?
