Hi, when trying to get itunes and iphone update, I'm getting a network connection error, this also prevents me accessing the itunes store. I've noticed this topic has come up before, so tried a couple of the suggestions; my firewall is zonealarm, I've tried adding itunes to trusted sites but this has made no difference.

I've attached the diagnostics below and details of the error message I got when trying to access the store

Microsoft Windows 7 x64 Home Premium Edition (Build 7600)
Hewlett-Packard HP G61 Notebook PC
iTunes 9.2.0.61
QuickTime 7.6.6
FairPlay 1.8.20
Apple Application Support 1.3
iPod Updater Library 9.2d4

CD Driver DLL 2.1.1.1
Apple Mobile Device 3.1.0.62
Apple Mobile Device Driver 1.49.0.0
Bonjour 2.0.2.0 (214.3)

iTunes Serial Number BA0AF01F99562FBF

Current user is not an administrator.
The current local date and time is 2010-07-24 11:19:55.
iTunes is not running in safe mode.
WebKit accelerated compositing is enabled.
HDCP is supported.

several options to upgrade.

option 1 (which I believe you have tried)
1. Connect your iPhone to computer

2. Open iTunes

3. Select your iPhone under Devices in the Source List on the left.

4. In the iPhone Summary pane, click Check for Update.

5. Click Download and Install. Do not disconnect your iPhone until the update has finished

Option 2
Restore method as outlined here: http://www.tuaw.com/...with-iphone-3g/

additional info here: http://www.maclife.c...iphone_3g_users

option 3:
Take device to nearest apple store for assistance
