Relevant Knowledge & slow IE8

I have Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8. Recently I noticed an icon in my tray entitled Relevant Knowledge. I do not know how to get rid of it.
Also, prior to the Relevant Knowledge, IE8 will take up to a minute to load and sometimes locks up competely and will not load. Then my whole computer seems to slow down and lock up when using Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
