ITUNES STORE NOT CONNECTING

Hi
I'm new to this forum and desperately hoping someone can help.
I'm running Windows 7 and for the last couple of days have been unable to connect to the Itunes store.
I get an error message saying "Itunes cannot connect to the Itunes store. The network connection was reset"

I have checked the firewall and anti-virus and they allow connection to Itunes.

Please help
