Equalizing software?

I am now using earphones with my pc and the sound is really tinny, are there any free equalizers out there to add bass/remove treble to get a sound close to that of a headset?

Thanks!

EDIT: Have tried Realtek HD audio driver EQ settings, nothing too pleasing as of yet.

You can't get rich sound from such a small device as a personal earphone. Physically impossible.
