Windows Media Center has stopped working

Upon starting windows media Center a popup comes uo saying media center has stopped working. then the program closes. Im not sure what could be causing this. Sometimes is happens just upon launch. other times it happens if i try to use any of the options within the program. either way it happens before i can use anything.

Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening?
