I re-installed an external floppy drive, and when I click on anything....whether it be windows explorer or internet explorer, files etc.....it tries to access B: drive (external Floppy) first.....I have to wait until it finishes before I can proceed with anything.....very annoying.....any advice on how to correct?
I am using XP, and I have checked my boot sequense. B: is not one of them.
It is not selected in my antivirus to be checked. :tazz:

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go! This is a strange one. You have floppy a internal and floppy b external, and no matter what you open it wants to access floppy b before it goes anywhere else? I have usb external drives and never experienced that. I have been poking around looking for some help for you but nothing so far. I was looking at disk management, removable storage, so far no clues. Someone out there knows! I might do a search on M$ knowledge base.... :tazz:

M$ was no help. I did find this on a google search. Take a look
