Hi,

Every time i seem to log on to my computer it has started to come up saying personalizing account and always shows this .exe file "C:\\windows\system32\install\svchost.exe" and the only way i am able to get my icons and start bar up is to start the task manager go to the shut down tab and click on either log off, restart etc...

I am also unable to do a system restore other than today's date at the time the problem occurred which is no use due to the exe file which keeps popping up when i log on. This all happened when i was going to watch something on the internet and for no reason at all firefox closed automatically and so did windows explorer i believe as my icons and the start bar had disappeared and this is when i got the exe message at the left hand corner of my screen.

If you can offer any advice i would really appreciate it!

Regards

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post an OTListIt log in THAT forum.
