The background of my desktop has been covered by a huge black.. thing.. that says "WARNING! YOU'RE IN DANGER!" and there's a short paragraph about what spyware does. Problem is, there's no way to take it off. Clicking it goes to some search page and when I try to go to any websites about spyware (luckily it let me come here..) it goes to that same page. Ad-Aware and Spybot didn't help, and it feels like my already slow computer is getting slower and slower. Help!

Hi huffnpuff,

Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what Hijack This lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

After your done cleaning the temp files and cookies, follow my original instructions. It's best to get you started in the malware removal forum as soons as possible, because since they are so busy, it normally takes a couple days from them to get to your log.
