Audio Driver Help

I've gotta Compaq Presario F750CA or US, either way. I had no problem installing most of the drivers to this laptop EXCEPT the Audio Driver and 3 Base System drivers. The laptop is meant for Vista, But i had changed it to XP 32bit, then to XP 64bit. HP had the audio driver for the XP 64bit, Conexant er whatever, but it wouldn't install. No matter what I did. Is there something I need to do? like a hotfix? is there anything someone can help me with this? I've been holding onto this thing for a while now and I wanna give it back to my friend already!!

Anything would be the schitt!
