A "100% CPU Usage" problem generated by "services.exe" completely shut my PC off. I then reinstalled Windows XP Pro from CD, the 2002 version, with no service packs. All works well now and the CPU usage is normal, but I can not connect to the internet to update WXP. Upon trying, I get this message: "The procedure entry point SetDllDirectoryW could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll" The DNS server pinged OK but... no connection. I use Comcast cable for the Internet. My system is a Gateway E-4600. Could anyone help? Many thanks.
