im afraid to even turn on the computer because im afraid i might break it some more by turning it on or something. You think we can get into safe mode? because if we cant how can we recover it back to how it use to be without losing all the information?

Don't worry, we can sort it. Print this post out so that you can reference it.

Firstly, we need to run the recovery console that you installed when you ran combofix
  • Power on your pc and watch for the following.

    Use the up arrow to select recovery console. You need to be quick, it's not on the screen long)
  • Select the Windows installation (normally 1

  • You should now see the RC prompt, usually C:\WINDOWS>

Type the following command

copy C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$\KB979559\SP2QFE\win32k.sys C:\WINDOWS\system32\win32k.sys

double check all the spelling and then press the Enter key. Make a note of any message that you get

Reboot the system and let me no how you got on

it asks me if i want to overwrite win32k.sys. it give me options yes no or all

ok i did that. should i reboot the computer now or was it suppose to do something? cause all it says is another C:\WINDOWS cam up and i can type there.
