I have a problem on one of my drives. Specifically one folder on that drive. It is the drive / folder I use for backups. I also have external drive backup as well as off site storage. But I also want a backup in the computer. I'm paranoid. In any case the folder in question is read only. Meaning my backup software can't do any backups. I go to properties page. I uncheck the read only box. I click through the UAC and wait as Vista changes file permissions. Or at least that is what it tells me it is doing. I can open up the properties page immediately after this exercise and the files will again be marked read only.

As always
Thanks for your help.
