Please could you help me out?

I have a window that keeps popping up. It is usually a dos window and then Internet Explorer with my very own hardrive in the address bar.

I have ran Adaware 6.0 and Spybot 1.3 but it is still going on.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

I've only just done it, but it appears to have stopped doing the pop-up hijack thing - which is good. Thank you very much.

BUT...
I can't connect to the Symantec website (or LiveUpdate - to try to ensure it doesn't happen again!). I can do this from another PC I have on the same internet connection. Is this a virus or something else do you reckon? I just get the "Cannot find Server"/"This page cannot be displayed" standard thing.
