Recently done a clean installation of windows xp,Before when using regcure,would take an average 5mins to complete a scan&clean,for 1st time running it sandboxed and it is still going after 3hrs up to now finding 1680 problems in File/path references,Does this ring a bell with anyone,as have never come across this before,also hogging Task manager with,average 85 in cpu and 99,124 in memory usage,up to 1730 probs now and still going,any help/ideas greatly appreciated,(other than the obvious,get rid of!)Thanks.

Easy solution: Please get rid of RegCure, it is doing you no favours. You sure as heck don't need it on a clean installation.

Registry Cleaners do not actually solve anything. They tend to make any problems worse, sometimes fatal.

The only problem you need to worry about with the registry is when it goes bye-bye, and you'll know about it straight away, because the machine won't boot without it.
