Hello tech savy people.

So i was wondering, for example if i get a iphone or 3G slide, both have skype application, and my friend in other country also have same phone ... Can I call their cell phone's skype using my cell phone's skype FOR FREE??
I know skype to skype on computer is free. But does it work on phones also? HELP PLEASE. and what is the best way to call uk mobiles for free. if skype doesn't work that way, are there any other softwares that work with softphones which will allow me to do free mobile to mobile calls?

if you've got a phone that's capable of using skype mobile, then when you make a call using skype mobile it works exactly the same as skype on your computer. EXCEPT that you still have to pay for data usage on your phone. you don't have to pay for long distance or phone service usage, but you DO have to pay for the data usage. so if you've got a data plan on your phone, and your call doesn't exceed your monthly usage amount it's in essence free.
