Windows Vista Home premium 32 bit. I run ERUNT and am informed that

unable to create file:
C:\Windows\ERDNT\8-18-2010\ERDNT.INF

Registry backup will continue, but no restore information for the ERDNT program will be saved. This means that later restoration of the registry can only be done manually, by using another OS to copy back the files.

In fact it is clear that nothing is saved. Clicking O.K. produces the next message.

Error saving file
C:\Windows\ERDNT\8-18-2010\SECURITY!

continue with next file?

[RegCreateKeyEx:5 - Access is denied]

And so on through the remainder of the files.

Thanks

Does it happen during automatic, or manual run?

Do you have UAC on?

Thanks. The obvious is always obvious when someone points it out to you.
