Control Panel Shortcut for Desktop

There may be an easier way, but this is how I do it ...
Open Control Panel > Folder Options > Display tab > check the box for Show Control Panel in My Computer
Then go to My Computer > right click Control Panel icon < create shortcut > and it will ask if you want the shortcut to go to the desktop

You can also shortcut Control Panel from the command line by typing control.exe
Really? Will also give that try and keep for future reference. Thanks for this tip.
