Hi there! I purchased a new Gateway All-in-One ZX4300 a month ago and have had no problems. All of a sudden last night the cursor froze on me. I thought it was the battery in the mouse but it was not. I cannot even use CTL + ALT + DELETE. I have paid version of AVG 9.0 and it froze while scanning, even in safe mode. I am unable to perform a system restore because it freezes, and I cannot open the event monitor without making it freeze, also. Computer will work with a clean boot but without any startup programs loaded. I have tried loading the startup programs one at a time but cannot find the culprit. A malware forum determined there is no malware on my computer.

Please help! I hate the thought of doing a "clean install".
Thanks in advance,
Miki
