reboot and when you see the compaq logo hit
F10

This will get you to the recovery partition on the hd.
Be warned this may format your HD so if there is any data you want to keep please let me know and we can make sure it is backed up first.

ok I press F10 and I still cant find it.
This is what I see
Blue Screen and on top it has options
File Security Tools Advanced
on the File Tab it has
System Information
Restore Defaults
Ignore Changes and Exit
Save Changes and Exit

On the Security tab
Addministrator Password
Power-on Password
Device Security
System IDs

On the tools tab
Battery Calibration
HDD Self-Test options

On the Advanced tab
Language
Boot options
Device options

I backed up every thing that I want on my Flash Drive.

Try F11. If that does not work, you can order Recovery Disks from HERE

As the system boots up, watch the very bottom of the screen. It should give you the various keys to press to get into BIOS (setup), boot oreder, Recovery, etc.

The Evo n610c manual is not much help.
It talks about the quick restore feature but does not tell you how to start it.

Various searches state F2, F8, F10, F11.
One location stated you need the quick restore CD's.

Based on the latest info from Compaq restore it looks like you will need to order the restore CD's.

It seems your system came preinstalled with XP. If you didn't make the recovery disks when you first bought the system then you need to order the recovery disks from HP.
You can do that by starting HERE and following the instructions from HP on how to order the XP restore cd's.
