First and foremost I would like to apologize if I posted this topic in the wrong section of the site.
My friend says his hard drive doesn't turn on. His monitor is working but when he pushes the power button on his hard drive nothing happens. I told him I would ask my friends here to see what they said but I am pretty sure he's going to have to buy a new computer. Any tips? Thank you everyone. The help is always appreciated.

Hi Oliver, can you find out and post more information on your Friends computer.
We need to know if it is a custom build or a brand name such as Dell or HP and
if it is provide the model name or number.

My friend says his hard drive doesn't turn on. His monitor is working but when he pushes the power button on his hard drive nothing happens.

Does your friend have an external hard drive and is this what they are having the issue with?
If yes provide the make and model of the external HDD.
