I am currently unable to connect to the internet. The network is saying "unidentified network(2WIRE137)". I have local access only. Other computers in the house can connect to the internet without any problems.

I am using Windows Vista SP2.

I attempted a system restore with no results.

Thank you for any help you can give me!

Just started happening? Any recent computer changes?
Did you try to hardwire laptop to the router?
Any errors in Device Manager?

It just started happening. I did recently have a problem with my ATT Uverse. They came out and re-ran the wires, but like I said before there is no problem with wireless internet on any other computer.

No errors in device manager as best as I can tell.

Hardwiring to the router works fine.

Thank you again for your help with this!

Try to reinstall wireless driver.
Download fresh driver, uninstall current one and install new one.

I reinstalled the driver as per your directions and am still having the same problem.

Your next best step is to go to your friend's house, or library and see, if you have same issue there.
Then we'll know more.

Since you can connect while hardwired, in my opinion, you have either some Windows installation issue, or your build-in wireless chip is busted.
You can try wireless card and see how it goes.

After speaking with the ATT tech he said the problem may be related to the DNS server

I guess, he had no slightest idea, what he was talking about, since:

Hardwiring to the router works fine.

Next time, you talk to him, ask him to find another job :)

Haha will do. He never even asked me to do that. I have also tried a system restore with no results. Any other courses of action before going out to buy a wireless card?

I don't see any other way. You can ask around. Maybe, you can borrow one from someone, just to test your connection.
