I have an sony vaio rc210G running on windows vista ultimate with sigmatel high definition audio codec. The sound will work fine with windows sounds and youtube videos and such, but will not work with quicktime, silverlight(netflix), or itunes.

When I attempt to run dxdiag it will say error: problem getting extra sound info. When I run itunes it says the audio configuration is incorrect and audio/video playback may not work correctly. If I run quicktime with video it will run the video but not sound will play.

I have run eusing registry cleaner, un installed and re installed the audio driver, reset bios to default, updated windows, un inst and re inst quicktime/itunes/silverlight, defragged, but nothing has changed. What else could it be?
