Dell wont load

I have a dell Inspiron E1505 (6400). It is operating Windows XP. When i push the power button the num lock light, caps lock light, and the scroll lock light all light up then shut off. I can hear the hard drive start up. Nothing appears on the screen. It started doing this after the Bios update. It wasn't bad at first. It would still load the desk top and freeze when you were using it. It would freeze a lot if you were moving around. Now it wont even get to the dell logo screen on start up.
