Antimalware Doctor is messing with my system

First off, I'd like to say thanks for the help in advance. I see how many others have been helped by this site already.

I read over the steps in this thread (http://www.geekstogo...-doctor-solved/), but I don't have a desktop icon or a start menu option and I can't seem to find where the file is located to be able to delete it.

I am running Windows 7 64bit. I have tried running MBAB a few times and it seems to keep coming up with 2 objects infected and doesn't seem to remove them. I am running MBAB in Safe Mode because the Antimalware Doctor won't let me run it (or even task manager or msconfig) in normal mode.

Any ideas?

  • Download OTL to your desktop.
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • Under the Custom Scan bot paste this in

  • Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTListIt.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply. You may need two posts to fit them all in.

Thanks for the prompt reply. You guys are legendary with the help (not the first time I've referred to you for assistance, just the first time I have had to join & post for an answer).

I've just managed to fix it by doing a system restore.
