Hey everyone,

My laptop (HP Pavilion DV5T special edition with white & green design) screen has been acting up a lot lately. Here is a video of it in action:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.c...></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.c...vNk&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

It's getting progressively worse.. It seems to be the screen not the software because when hooked up to other screens it's fine, and angling the laptop screen up and down sometimes stops the flashing. What I'm wondering is whether anyone knows what the problem is (faulty connection or the actual screen being dead or whatever else) and whether there's any way to fix it/whether I should just hand it in to HP and hope for the best, or whether it could be fixed relatively easily and wouldn't require the hundreds they charge.

Thanks everyone,

ChrisClarke
