Download installer again.
Make sure, you close FF.
Run installer with "Remove" option.
Run installer again to install plugin.
Start Firefox.
Go here: http://plugindoc.moz...ages/wmp11.html to test the plugin.

I found a solution from the link you posted, using this

The only bad thing is that when the pop up windows comes into the screen I have to click once again and then another window of wmp pops up and plays the stream
