Change the extension to txt instead of log and it should upload OK . Otherwise just post the log

I will have a rethink now

I will have to look around, is that the only way? Can the virus not be removed?

Actually my fatherinlaw has a copy and he is bringing it tomorrow, he said I need a license for it and that it wouldn't work with out it, so not sure what you want me to do. I have XP Professional by the way and thats what he is bringing me. Is there anything else we can try to do to remove this evil virus without having to mess with the XP CD?

It is no longer a virus I am afraid it is a system problem instead. Once you have a disc we will go for a repair install. This will retain all your files and settings

Excellent - we have a step by step tutorial here follow that and any guidance you require I'll be here. Once done and it boots normally we will then run a fresh OTL scan to see what is left

No this just replaces the windows files, you will have to do windows updates though

Okay I ran the repair for XP and once it completed it tried to reboot but it went right back to the black screen, I don't think it worked, now what do I do?

I believe we are now looking at a hardware problem

I would recommend that you back up your files and data using OTLPE as a priority - I will ask the techs what possible resolutions there are for this

Okay I have backed everything up. Just let me know what I have to do next. I just find it strange that that it would be a hardware as my computer was working perfectly fine before I got infected with the Virus. Could the Virus effect my hard drive?
