Hello.

Just today I have opened several applications but no tabs (the things on the bottom of your screen; sorry I don't know the proper name) appear and I must click on the middle button of my mouse to navigate from one window to the next. I do not know what to do to rectify it.

Thank you.

240. Programs Aren't Minimized in the Taskbar

It should fix your problem.

Try kellys taskbar Plus tool.

I do not know of any other way to fix this.
