When accessing a financial institution web site a page pops up asking to verify security information. This has been confirmed as nothing to do with the said institution. This Pop-up is attributed to Spy_Agent.bw.gen!mem trojan.
Q: How do I remove this problem?
I have backed up the computer to an external drive and would dearly like to go ahead and format the hard drive in the computer to eradicate this trojan, but I am not confident that I have all that is needed to do that. i. e, the back up copy may well be infected. Also I need to assemble all of the original software (CD's etc)to reload the programs I need to run. Will I need to have a start-up file ?
