Ventrilo Immediately Disconnects

Problem: After connecting to a server Ventrilo immediately disconnects and begins counting down before doing an automatic reconnect. This happens over and over in rapid succession.

-Windows XP 32 bit

Mgs seen when connecting:
MSG:Connecting
MSG: Synchronizing
MSG: Server is available, press connect

(I press connect and then vent gives me a countdown.)

-I know I'm not banned from the server.
-I have no modem/router, I use a Sprint 4G/3G wireless USB.
-I've tried uninstalling my anti-virus software.
-I've tried turning off/making exceptions for Ventrilo and Port 6100 in my Windows Firewall.
-I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling vent.
-All of my host/port/pass info is correct, and I have used the server in the past without a problem.

If there's anyone who has figured out a solution to this I would appreciate it. I've been searching for an answer for three days now, with no luck.
