Hello everyone,

I am having an issue with Windows Live Messenger (The latest version for Windows XP). Today I was trying to log in but a few seconds later the application just stops running and closes it self, no pop up errors appear on screen or anything it just vanishes a few seconds after I log in, however the MSN icon on the task bar is still there and it only disappears after I hover over with with my mouse.

I then checked the ErrorResponse.xml file and here's what it gave me:

I've checked other websites and they came up with lots of different suggestions mainly re-installing messenger and rebooting the router and/or checking if there were any firmware updates.
I followed this instruction (and uninstalled WLM 3 times in a row along with rebooting my computer) and it still comes up with same error report.

So, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Sometimes (And I'm not saying this is definately the reason for your problem) Messenger just goes down , server issues or upgrades, not sure. Anyway What I'm saying is give it a day to see if it comes good of it's own accord as this sort of thing has happened to me on occasion.
