At first, I received a the following runonce error message:
"Cannot find http://go.microsoft..../?LinkId=74005"
I was able to correct that by adjusting the registry. Then, I received the another error message saying that it could not find www.aol.com, and for me to check the spelling. I talked to tech support again, and they suggested I downgrade to IE6. I did that now I'm encountering a whole new issue. I keep getting the error message:
"Internet Explorer cannot download / from www.msn.com.
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."
This is accompanied by a File Download box running in the background that disappears when I press OK.
I am at my whit's end, and need to get operational within the next 24 hours. I ran Avast! and Malwarebytes scans, and nothing was found. I have internet access because I am online using Firefox. I need to either be able to have either IE6 or 7 run on both sides.
