I have been struggling with IE for the past two days. I work from my home, and need to install the clients programs onto my computer. I was using IE8 initially, but uninstalled it and installed IE7 in order to be compatible with them. After installing RingCube vdesk and logging in, I was unable to access the Internet on the client's side, but had full access on the host side (my side). The client's tech support ran checks on their software, and did not find any problems.

At first, I received a the following runonce error message:

"Cannot find http://go.microsoft..../?LinkId=74005"

I was able to correct that by adjusting the registry. Then, I received the another error message saying that it could not find www.aol.com, and for me to check the spelling. I talked to tech support again, and they suggested I downgrade to IE6. I did that now I'm encountering a whole new issue. I keep getting the error message:

"Internet Explorer cannot download / from www.msn.com.

Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."

This is accompanied by a File Download box running in the background that disappears when I press OK.

I am at my whit's end, and need to get operational within the next 24 hours. I ran Avast! and Malwarebytes scans, and nothing was found. I have internet access because I am online using Firefox. I need to either be able to have either IE6 or 7 run on both sides.

Here is the log I got from HJT (this is my first time using it, I hope I did it right):
