Hi,

I am having trouble shutting down my computer because there is a 3 minute delay before the shut down option comes up when I command the shutdown prompt. Somehow, my ctrl+alt+del no longer functions. Is there a way to speed up my shutdown time and restore function to my ctrl+alt+del command?

Thank you,
Jackson

Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows logo key, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")
- security programs in use (antivirus, firewall)

=====================================================================================

Download Autoruns for Windows: http://technet.micro...s/bb963902.aspx
No installation required.
Simply unzip Autoruns.zip file, and double click on autoruns.exe file to run the program.
Go File>Save, and save it as AutoRuns.txt file to know location.
You must select Text from drop-down menu as a file type:

Attach the file to your next reply.

Intel [R]
Pentium[R] 4 CPU 3.20GHz
512 MB of RAM

Free Space: 52.9 GB
Total Size: 143 GB

No anti-virus but Windows Firewall and Spyware Blaster are active.

I attempted the autoruns several times, but I could not save it as a text file because after the program runs, it just goes away.

Thanks a lot Broni. After removing the malware with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, the shutdown is no longer delayed.

Very good :)
I still suggest, you create new topic at malware forum to make sure your computer is 100% clean.
