I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 series laptop and today it keeps turning off without reason. After it switches off, it does feel very hot and I am guessing that the cooling fan may not be working. I currently have my desk fan blowing through the vent to keep the laptop cool and it seems to be working fine so I am guessing that I need a new fan.

I am pretty clueless when it comes to what's inside the laptop. I wonder, does anyone know if I have to use a specific type or brand of cooling fan or whether any fan will do. It would help me out greatly if anyone could link me to some suitable ones. Ideally under £30 if that is possible.

Thanks for any help you might be able to give me
