Thats your windows version.

You can find it this way:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\mstsc.exe <- right click that, hit properties. goto the version tab

I have noticed on the Windows Support that this is available for download


Download the Terminal Services Client 6.0 update for Windows XP, x64-based versions (KB925876) package now.


should I download this & install?

Yes install 6.0 and try again. The icon should be a darker blue screen when its installed.

Was able to download that version of RDP. Could type in my name in password but when I clicked to sign in this is the error message that I got:

This computer can't connect to the remote computer.

The problem might be due to low virtual memory on your computer. Close your other programs, and then try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact your network administrator or technical support.



I closed all programs and it still would not sign in.

Problem solved. I created a new profile and was able to sign into RDC. Thanks anyway for your help!
