I deleted windows files (on old asus 701 4G because space was critical)now windows wont start. I did save files to SDHC card before deleting. I have no recovery disc as I bought this asus on e-bay. Also there was no system restore working since I bought it 3 months ago Is there anyway I can restore the files. I also have a PC running XP pro - can I use this in any way to restore the windows I deleted? Thanks

Download OTL to your Desktop
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • Click the none button at the top
  • Paste this in the custom scan box

    /md5start
    c_1252.*
    /md5stop
  • click run scan post that log
