Hi. Someone has installed a watchdog type program on my computer without my knowledge or consent. They said they removed it, but I do not trust their word. How do I find out if my computer still is being watched and how can I remove the files? Is there any software that is NOT removable once installed? I am thinking of just taking out the old hard drive and replacing it with a brand new one. Would that wipe my computer clean if I start over with a brand new C: drive? It is a tower type computer, not a laptop. Thank you for any advice. I can really use the help!

Removing the hard drive would work but it seems a little extreme. We can treat it as malware and remove it that way. Do as much of

as you can. If a step won't work, skip to the next one. Copy and paste your gmer, mbam, otl, & extras logs into a reply. Do not attach them.
