Unfortunately, there is little else I can say it is clear you problem is with wireless interference because you have tried a wired connection and that works fine. This means your internet reaching your house is fine and also your computer isn't having issues. We have upgraded your drivers to ensure there were no problems there and so really there's nothing else you can do on your computer as it isn't affecting the wireless. You clearly have several other users on the same channel as you which is going to cause real headaches for the wireless. Now, changing the channel shouldn't affect your connectivity so I wouldn't suggest changing back to 6. You should have it on one or eleven then do a full restart of the router by pulling out the power cable and waiting 10secs and then plugging back in and also restating your computer. There may be other settings needing tweaked but it really isn't easy to diagnose the problem over the internet. I suggest your router needs moved into a more suitable location and also ensure you aren't using anything on the same frequency as your wireless internet because it is clearly being degraded. Bearing in mind that your signal strength isn't excellent and there is interference it's no wonder your internet is sloppy.
Virgin Media offer the following advice:Virgin Media Wireless Issues ,Virgin Media Improve Wireless
I don't think I can suggest anything because I just can't see the settings in front of me which really makes it impossible. I suggest you contact Virgin Media and tell them your not happy with the wireless service your being provided with but unfortunately they aren't obliged to help because they are supplying 20mb to your house which is all they are paid to do.
Another option worth considering is buying something called powerline or homeplugs. With this technology you use your houses electrical plug sockets to connect two plugs connect one to your router and one to your computer.

Let me know if I can help any more or you have any questions but honestly I'm out of ideas to help.
Thanks
