Thanks for the reply and for looking over my HJT log. No, not at the moment but I have previously and now I like to stay on top of everything that goes on with my computer. I post the HJT every so often just to make sure it is clean since I have no clue what I should or should not be looking for in it.

Again, thanks so much for reviewing it and getting back to me in a timely manner, I so do appreciate it a lot. <_<

Sincerely,

Nicole :D

You're welcome. <_<

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use).

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.
Link to SpywareBlaster: http://www.geekstogo...tion=show&id=12

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend Firefox.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. :D

Thank you very much for your advice. I do run spyware on my computer. This is what I have and I let it check everything everyday even the updates.

AVG 6.0, Spyware Guard, Ad-aware 6.0, SpywareBlaster, Spybot Search and Destroy, CWShredder and I have Norton Antivirus, and Norton Internet Security.

I keep my Windows updated regularly and check for the latest updates about 3 times a week. I read a lot also to find new ways to prevent things from happening. I have stopped my children from downloading and my husband also. That has cut down on all the problems we were having.

Again, thanks for the advice and I will review your post again to make sure I have done things you suggested! <_<

Sincerely,

Nicole
