Busted! I've done this before to keep a pinned topic at the top of the list. The last modified date in the topics table is altered to a date in the future, and it ensures the topic remains first without having to "bump" it. I guess that won't work anymore.

P.S. In 2015 the geeks did inherit the Earth.
