hi,
i'm using a Sony Vaio VGN-AR61M and i think my video card is broken.
It started a few months ago when i just launched my pc.
It didn't work so i reinstalled windows and for some reason after that it worked just fine.
But i can't install my video cards driver or else my laptop won't boot.
It just stalls after the windows logo.
I tried it several times and my video cards seems te be working just fine when i install the driver and for some mysterious reason i can reboot it(works 1 in 200 times).
I use an Nvidea Geforce 8500 M GT by the way.
So my question is: If i dont install the video card driver my computer can reboot if i do i can't so is my video card broken and do i need to replace it?
This laptop is designed for windows vista and i installed windows 7 can it be that reason?
I'm sorry for this huge question but im quite a computer retard and i dont have money for a new video card.
