hi, I am new and I have a problem with pc

I have

7 64 bit
intel q6600
ati hd4830
4 gb 2x2 kingston 800 Mhz
hd wester digital 500 gb
mobo asus p5q
psu 450 W

Playing some videogames the pc shutdown randomly after a time between 10 minutes to 30 minutes.
After shutdown it restart after 4 seconds by itself. I test the ram, hd, gpu and cpu loading and I think I can exclude hardware issues.
I install all the latest driver for everything.
Someone can help ? thank you.

Download, and install SpeedFan: http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
Post your computer temperatures:

Post two sets of results, when computer idle and when playing your game.

I will but I think it's not an heat problem because I tried using a program to load cpu and gpu and after 5 minutes of full load. gpu was 63 ° and cpu 64 °. Also I have the case open and a fan for office shooting at the mobo. I also have a liquid cooled system for cpu.

I'd like to see the results, because:

cpu 64 °

Assuming, you're talking Celsuis....
...your CPU max temp is listed at 60.3C (!)

Ok. Normally is about 26-27 °C. After 2 minutes 100% cpu is about 51 with your program and 60 with another program.

What do you mean by 100% CPU?

What happens with temperatures beyond 2 minutes?
Still raising?

I'd prefer, you posted those temperatures while playing the game, so not only CPU is involved.

Ok after 13 minutes playing yuor program say 42 °C. After about 15 minutes pc shutdown and then reboot.
This problem occures only with some games. With another I can play as long I want.

I'm not a gamer, so I have to ask you...
What's the difference between a group of games crashing your system and the other group?
More demanding games?

I don't think 1 game that is quite heavy released in novembre 2009 full detail (1600x1080) without problem but 2 games releasedd in may and july 2010 that I think less expensive in hardware putting them at minimum detail and at a lower resolution crash

Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista), type in:
msconfig
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista).

Click on Startup tab.
Click Disable all
IMPORTANT! In case of laptop, make sure, you do NOT disable any keyboard, or touchpad entries.

Click Services tab.
Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services
Click Disable all.

Click OK.
Restart computer in Normal Mode.

NOTE. If you use different firewall, than Windows firewall, turn Windows firewall on, just for this test, since your regular firewall won't be running.
If you use Windows firewall, you're fine.

Try to play your games.
