Hi

I have an advent ERT2250 laptop (specs):
CPU Intel Core Duo T2250 (1.73GHz)
BIOS Phoenix BIOS. Press F2 to enter
Chipset Mobile Intel 945GM Express
Memory 1GB DDR2 PC2-4200 533MHz SODIMM (2 memory slots. Max 2GB)
Hard Drive 80GB
CD Drive Lite-on Slimtype DVDRW SSW-8015S
Screen 15.4" widescreen TFT (native resolution 1280x800)
Video Card Intel 945GM (up to 128MB shared)
Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio
Modem Motorola SM56 Data Fax Modem
Network Card Realtek 8139 / 810X (Onboard)
Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG *

I got a BSOD occasionally from ntoskrnl.exe so I was advised to update drivers - I ran Intel Driver Update Utility and the only update was for the 945GM Graphics. Now, about 10-20 minutes into when the laptop is running, I always get a blue screen.

The latest was caused by fastfat.SYS and the one before that was hal.dll. I think this is related to the intel driver, but they don't look like they are caused by it. Here is the info from BlueScreenView:

This laptop is a bad one for reliability - it also has a problem with overheating (I think) which i have got under control with a fan cooling pad so it is very annoying to be defeated once again by another problem!!

Any help would be gratly appreciated!!

Thanks!
